Perpetuals on DeFi economic metrics: protocol TVL, DEX volume, chain stablecoin flow, and more. You take a view on whether an index rises or falls, settled in USDC against the vault.
Untarred runs a decentralized pull oracle. A network of staked nodes independently fetches each metric from sources like DefiLlama, block explorers, and on-chain RPC. Every round, a leader requests fresh observations over a peer-to-peer gossip network, and the network reports the median, never the average, once enough followers co-sign. Rounds settle in around 100ms, so the rolling 24H and 7D marks stay current.
Anyone can run an oracle node by staking 100,000 $UTR. Nodes run the pull-oracle client and fetch metrics from independent public sources. Honest, timely operators earn $UTR emissions for their work.
Most perps track token prices. Untarred tracks macro DeFi data instead. You are not buying Aave or UNI. You are longing or shorting the metric itself, like TVL or volume, with standard perpetual mechanics.
USDC and MON are the primary collateral for opening and managing positions. $UTR and other supported assets will be available as the platform expands.
LPs deposit USDC into a shared vault that acts as counterparty to all trades. The vault earns trading fees and net trader losses, similar to a GLP or gTrade-style pool, across every metric market.
$UTR is coming soon. It will be used for positions, fee sharing with stakers, and protocol governance. Details will be published ahead of launch.
